AFC North reader Lance Hatfield from Wichita, Kan., brought up a very interesting question in our division inbox. He asked if the Pittsburgh Steelers won another championship in 2010, are they an NFL dynasty?
The question was so good that I decided to present it to our entire community as our latest "Thought of the Day" in the AFC North.
Keep in mind, no one is crowning the Steelers in February. But for the sake of conversation, let's say Pittsburgh rebounds and wins its third Super Bowl in six seasons. Does that equal dynasty status in today's NFL?
The other side of the argument is the Steelers never won back-to-back titles during this recent run. Their last two championships were following the 2005 and 2008 seasons. Therefore, even with a third title, was Pittsburgh dominant and consistent enough to earn the prestigious "dynasty" label?
