PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers traded for veteran running back Felix Jones this morning, adding backfield depth with a player who rushed for 2,728 yards and 11 touchdowns in five seasons with the Cowboys.
The Steelers shipped outside linebacker Adrian Robinson to Philadelphia for Jones.
Jones, a first-round pick in 2008, had signed with the Eagles in the offseason but he apparently fell out of favor faster in Philadelphia than he had in Dallas.
The Steelers didn’t give up much to get him as Robinson played in 12 games on special teams last season after making the team as an undrafted free agent.
I’ll have more analysis on this trade later.
