Here are the most interesting stories Thursday in the AFC North:
Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger discussed his Achilles injury for the first time since left tackle Max Starks fell on the back of his foot.
Morning take: Roethlisberger admits it was a scare for him and the team. The offensive line better start blocking better to prevent more scares in the future.
Cincinnati Bengals rookie linebacker Rey Maualuga gets to meet one team that passed him in the NFL draft Thursday in the St. Louis Rams.
Morning take: At the top of the second round, St. Louis surprised many by taking Ohio State linebacker James Laurinaitis over Maualuga. Only time will tell if the Rams made the right call.
Cleveland Browns running back Jamal Lewis turned 30 this week. Is that a cause for concern?
Morning take: In the NFL, 30 is definitely not the new 20 -- especially for running backs.Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh didn't take the bait of Bart Scott's recent comments, saying former defensive coordinator Rex Ryan ran the team behind the scenes.Morning take: How this Jets-Ravens preseason smack-talk reached Steelers-Ravens levels is one of the great mysteries of the summer. Perhaps the funniest part is all the boisterous words came from New York while Baltimore pretty much ignored it.
