The Cleveland Browns, as expected, placed injured receiver Joe Jurevicius on the physically unable to perform list (PUP) Tuesday, making the 11-year veteran out for at least the first six games of the regular season.
Jurevicius had minor knee surgery this offseason that resulted in a staph infection that required additional procedures to clean out the knee.
The Browns also put wide receiver Kevin Kasper (neck) on the reserve/injured list and waived defensive back Damon Jenkins, tailback Austin Scott, defensive lineman Brian Schaefering to get down to the mandatory 75-player roster by Tuesday's 4 p.m. deadline.
Cleveland needs to trim its roster to 53 players on Saturday.
