Quick Take: Titans 24, Bengals 7

The Cincinnati Bengals fell to 0-2 with a 24-7 loss to the Tennessee Titans (2-0) in their home opener.

Heavy wind gusts played a big role in this game, particularly on special teams. Cincinnati missed a 38-yard field, had a punt blocked for a Titans' touchdown and shanked another punt. Tennessee also had a punt partially blocked and fumbled a high snap on another punt attempt.

But overall the Titans managed the heavy winds much better by sticking to the running game and utilizing a short passing game led by quarterback Kerry Collins, who filled in well for the injured Vince Young. Collins (128 yards, one touchdown) didn't take many chances but made enough throws to move the offense and put points on the board.

The Bengals' offense continues to struggle and has just 10 points in two games. Cincinnati is learning quickly that without a productive offense, which has long been the strength of the team, the Bengals have little chance of winning.

It's not looking good for Cincinnati moving forward. The Bengals travel to play the reigning Super Bowl champion New York Giants (2-0) next week and have three of the next four on the road.
