Bears and Colts will hold joint practices on Aug. 19 and 20

The Chicago Bears and Indianapolis Colts will hold joint practices in Indianapolis on Aug. 19 and 20 in advance of their preseason matchup Aug. 22 at Lucas Oil Stadium, the teams announced Thursday.

The joint workouts, held inside the Colts’ practice facility, will be closed to the public.

The Bears' final day of training camp in Bourbonnais, Illinois, is scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 16.

This is the Bears’ first joint training camp practice since 2004, when then-first-year head coach Lovie Smith took the club to Macomb, Illinois, to work out with the St. Louis Rams. Smith served as the Rams’ defensive coordinator for three seasons before accepting the Chicago job.
