Breaking down Freeney as a rusher

Pro Football Focus took a thorough look at Dwight Freeney as a pass-rusher and came to some familiar conclusions.

"He can get pressure inside and outside, he does it against the best tackles and he does it on third down. His '09 performance paints the picture of the prototypical pass-rusher who, when healthy, causes offenses no end of trouble."

I like the breakdown of how Freeney did against some of the better tackles he faced.

I’ve read well-reasoned arguments about how Freeney is the second-most important member of the Colts and I tend to agree with them.

After Peyton Manning’s offensive precision, consistent pass pressure is the most important ingredient for the Colts. And it’s simply not the same when Freeney is not on the field.
