Daily developments: C. Brown, Addai solid so far

Texans running back Chris Brown has been great so far, according to the Chronicle's camp insider. This is a great development, but he needs to maintain it over time. If Brown can stay healthy, he'd be a fantastic complement to Steve Slaton and give the Texans an element they are missing. I am sure the team will monitor his workload in an effort to maximize returns.

Banged up in the secondary, the Texans are looking at veteran corners Delta O'Neal and Jason Webster, reports John McClain.

John Oehser's got seven early practice observations. The one on Joseph Addai strikes me. If his struggles last year were more on the line and the blocking than on him, that's good news for Addai, for Donald Brown and for the Colts on crucial third-and-2s. That Ryan Lilja looks good so far is a big piece to this as well.
