When a team is 0-9, it’s not difficult to find a lot of terrible numbers that show why.
Today we’ve selected big plays.
The Colts have actually stayed even with opponents in rushing big plays. Indianapolis has 10 runs of 10 yards or more this season and opponents also have 10.
But pass players are a different story.
Indy has hit on 21 pass plays over 20 yards, and they’ve allowed 33.
Most significantly, as they’ve been outscored 120-34 in their last three games, they haven’t hit on a pass play over 30 yards while allowing seven.
We’re used to a big-play offense and a defense built around minimizing big plays and keeping things in front of it.
The Colts aren't showing us either now.
