INDIANAPOLIS -- The AFC South blog has arrived at Colts' HQ and set up shop in the press room.
You can cut the tension with a knife.
There is no intrigue about what's to happen here now. The over-under bet tonight is whether ESPN and the NFL Network get the full 15 minutes to hype Luck or if Roger Goodell gets and reads Indianapolis' card quickly, making official the team's selection of Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck.
The assmbled media will speak with him on a conference call. And general manager Ryan Grigson and coach Chuck Pagano will talk in depth about Luck as a Colt for the first time.
That, the opportunity to speak to Luck as he makes an appearance at Lucas Oil Stadium Friday, and returning to monitor the second pick of the second round are why I am here.
But I'll be tracking our other three teams too, of course.
The next post should be about Countdown Live: 2012 NFL Draft, our grand-scale chat tonight that will kick off at 7 p.m. ET, 6 p.m. CT and run through the first round with a cast of thousands that will include all of us from the blog network.
I hope you'll join us there while you get ready and then watch Round 1 unfold.
