Where they stand in key categories

Here's our weekly look at where the teams of the AFC South stand in key categories. I generally consider third-down efficiency super important. And points, of course, tend to trump all.

Some notes of interest on movement:

  • Houston slid in every offensive category except points, where it stayed the same.

  • Andrew Luck's rookie record 433-yard passing day gave the Colts a boost in the offensive ratings -- they moved up from eighth to fourth in overall offense, and from ninth to sixth in passing offense. They also fell from seventh to tied for 11th in passing defense.

  • The Jaguars climbed out of 32nd to 28th in third-down offense but fell from 21st to 29th on third-down defense.

  • Tennessee dropped from seventh to 11th in third-down offense.
