INDIANAPOLIS -- I participated in a conversation with NFL executive Adolpho Birch at the scouting combine today, and the bulk of the exchange was about HGH testing.
"I have concerns for the fans who see this continued effort not to get this done as some sign that the NFL and the league and its players are no longer serious about eliminating the threat of performance-enhancing drugs," Birch said.
That concern and others he mentions in the news story are all legitimate.
As this debate continues to go unresolved, NFL fans will care less and less who's responsible for it not happening and conclude no one wants it to.
They should have solved it when they signed the CBA in 2011, not simply said as part of the new agreement that they would solve it.
Because the pressure to resolve it appears insufficient now.
