Pagano, Arians also up for ESPYS

We’ve already hit on J.J. Watt's candidacy for the ESPY for NFL player of the year.

Two more guys out of the AFC South are also up for ESPYS.

Best moment: Chuck Pagano returning to coach the Colts.

Pagano’s competition comes from Jack Hoffman, the sick child who took a handoff for a touchdown in Nebraska's spring game; Alex Morgan’s winning goal versus Canada in a women’s soccer Olympic semifinal; and Andy Murray winning a gold medal in the Olympics.

Pagano was diagnosed with leukemia early in the season and missed 12 regular-season games while he was out for treatment. He delivered a wonderful locker room speech after watching one game at Lucas Oil Stadium and got a huge ovation as he waved to the crowd from the owner's box.

Best coach/manager: Bruce Arians

Arians is up against UConn women’s basketball coach Geno Auriemma, Duke lacrosse coach John Danowski, Louisville basketball coach Rick Pitino and Miami Heat coach Erik Spoelstra.

Arians was NFL coach of the year for his work filling in for Pagano as the Colts made a surprising run to the playoffs.
