Power Rankings: No. 31 Jaguars

A weekly examination of the Jaguars' ESPN.com Power Ranking:

Preseason: 29 | Last Week: 31 | ESPN.com Power Ranking since 2002

A last-second road victory over the Cleveland Browns was not enough to help the Jaguars move up in the ESPN.com Power Rankings -- but at least there’s now an agreement among the six voters that the Jaguars aren’t the league’s worst team.

That honor belongs to the 2-10 Houston Texans, whom the Jaguars play on Thursday night at EverBank Field.

Mike Sando was the lone voter to have the Jaguars No. 32 last week, but this week he has them No. 30 -- ahead of the Texans and the New York Jets.

John Clayton has the Jaguars 29th. His Nos. 30-32 teams are the Washington Redskins, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Texans.

Looking ahead to the rest of the season, it’s not inconceivable the Jaguars could finish closer to 20th than last in the final Power Rankings. Their remaining games are against Houston (No. 32), Buffalo (No. 24), Tennessee (No. 21) and Indianapolis (No. 9).
