Tuesday's Reading The Coverage is centered around Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay getting arrrested and facing four felony counts of possession of a controlled substance.
Conrad Brunner of 1070thefan.com believes that Irsay's arrest may help save him from himself. "The deeper truth of Irsay’s saga is that if the charges prove true, he should seek out the officers that pulled him over, shake their hands and express his gratitude. They may well have saved his life, and quite possibly others," Brunner wrote.
Indianapolis Star columnist Bob Kravitz writes that Irsay is fighting for his life and he needs help. "Based on several conversations with team officials and friends, this is a man fighting for his life. Get some help, James. Please, get some help," Kravitz wrote.
Like ESPN's Kevin Seifert, Stephen Holder of The Star writes that like players and coaches around the league, Irsay is subject to being disciplined by the NFL.
Mark Alesia, also of The Star, writes that an NFL spokesman said Irsay's arrest will not impact Indianapolis' chance of landing the Super Bowl in 2018. Indianapolis is competing against Minneapolis and New Orleans for the Super Bowl that year.
