Quote sheet: Brandon Marshall

Courtesy of the Denver's PR department, here is Brandon Marshall's press briefing Thursday in preparation of Sunday's game at Atlanta. Among the topics Marshall addresses is going against former Denver cornerback Domonique Foxworth, who was traded to the Falcons in September.

On the Falcons defense:

Brandon Marshall: They are a defense that is making a lot of plays. They are hard hitting and sound in their technique and scheme."

On spreading out the offense:

BM: We did what we had to do to win depending on the situation. We wanted to take advantage of our opportunities and we did against Cleveland. I think Coach (Mike) Shanahan does a great job at creating mismatches and taking advantage of them. That is what we did against Cleveland and that is what he has done his entire career.

On his potential matchup with former Broncos CB Domonique Foxworth:

BM: It would be fun. A lot of people in this locker room are happy for Fox getting his chance and opportunity to be a starter in this league. Here he was behind Champ (Bailey) and Dre' (Bly), so we are excited for him.

More about Falcons CB Domonique Foxworth:

BM: Fox is great. I am approaching this game, and all of our receivers are approaching this game just like they are up against any other defensive back. It will be fun going out there against Fox, someone who I am familiar with.

On comparing QBs Matt Ryan and Jay Cutler:

BM: Ryan at home has a quarterback rating of 125 (125.2 through nine games) so he is doing some great things. He is definitely their leader on the offense and in the locker room. It will be interesting to see him play. Jay has been in the league for a couple more years so I think he is a little more comfortable out there.

On if the team has its swagger back and if he as an individual has his swagger back:

BM: I think we will be able to decide that after this game. Last game, we needed that one drive to get our swagger back. Now we just have to see if we can do it two games in a row. I just have to continue to work. I am not, right now, where I want to be as a player, in my career and even in the season. It has been up and down. I have to be more consistent in the playbook and even on the field. That is what I am trying to work on.
