This was a slam dunk. The Marshall and Scheffler trades were huge. Denver is completely moving away from the Mike Shanahan era.
Below are some of your responses. Thanks to everyone who participated:
Tom from Colorado Springs: The Marshall and Scheffler trades are the story of the week. Two great players left Denver -- for nothing. Big story and a sad story.
Tony from San Diego: I’m a Broncos’ fan in Charger country. The Marshall and Scheffler trades hurts. It’s huge. I can’t believe the Broncos did that.
Mario Leuang from Des Moines, Iowa: The biggest story has to be Marshall. But Tebow in Denver is quite interesting. Denver has traded away Scheffler and Peyton Hillis (their sole FB). Tebow can play an H-back role and fill in at TE, FB, and RB on short yardage situations. The Broncos can use Tebow to fill multiple needs while grooming him to be the QB of the future. Tebow can gain NFL experience right away while developing at QB. I think he'd be well worth the 43rd pick.
Nick Prioletti from Virginia Beach, Va.: Grads will be back by training camp, Boller won't survive preseason.........But McDaniels putting the finishing touch on his absolute demolition of a great 2006 draft really makes it hurt a little less as a Raider fan!
Sam from Denver: The story of the week is the Marshall and Scheffler trades. Still shocking.
