A Raiders spokesman said Thursday afternoon that the team is not shopping running back Darren McFadden.
Earlier Thursday, ESPN’s Chris Mortensen said on ESPN radio that McFadden could be among a group of veteran players who could be made available during the draft. However, the Raiders have scuttled that idea. They say the No. 4 overall draft pick from 2008 is not going anywhere.
I think that’s the smart move. While McFadden has been slow to produce, he still has tremendous potential and can help the Raiders.
If the Raiders were interested in trading McFadden, here is a report that says the Lions would likely be interested. But it seems that option won’t be available.
