Best in the AFC West, by the numbers

Here is a look at the AFC West leaders in a few categories after Week 12:

Passing yards

Jay Cutler, Denver Broncos
The numbers:
He has thrown for 3,036 yards.
What does it mean?
Cutler is third in the NFL in passing yards behind New Orleans' Drew Brees and Arizona's Kurt Warner.

Rushing yards

LaDainian Tomlinson, San Diego Chargers
The numbers:
He has rushed for 770 yards
What does it mean?
Tomlinson is having a subpar season for him but he is still a special player.


Brandon Marshall, Broncos
The numbers:
Marshall has 67 catches.
What does it mean?
Marshall will need to continue to be a difference maker as Denver tries to hold on to its lead in the AFC West.


Kirk Morrison, Oakland Raiders
The numbers:
The Raiders linebacker has 92 tackles.
What does it mean?
The Raiders defense is better than some think and Morrison is a leader.


Kalimba Edwards, Raiders
The numbers:
He has five sacks.
What does it mean?
Edwards leads in a weak year for sacks in the AFC West. Boy, does this division miss Jared Allen and Shawne Merriman.


Jarrad Page, Kansas City Chiefs
The numbers:
He has three interceptions.
What does it mean?
Page is stuck on three and he leads a lackluster group.
