CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Wrapping up the day in the AFC West:
The Panthers had three sacks on Sunday but Carolina star defensive end Julius Peppers was shut down by Denver rookie left tackle Ryan Clady. Peppers, who has 12.5 sacks, didn't register a tackle. Clady was limping with an apparent ankle issue after the game and guard Chris Kuper has a hand issue. They will be monitored this week.
San Diego receiver Vincent Jackson lived up to his trend of making big plays with a 42-yard catch on the Chargers' game-winning dive in the final moments of the game.
The Chiefs registered three sacks to raise their season total to nine.
Earlier this season, Denver receiver Brandon Marshall said he was somewhat apprehensive about running after he catch after he fumbled in two games trying to get more yardage. He seems to be over that phobia. He ran with confidence with the ball in his hands Sunday.
Marshall had five catches and he needs 12 catches in the final two games to register back-to-back 100-catch seasons.
Carolina dropped three interceptions thrown by Denver receiver Jay Cutler.
Is it a surprise that former Raiders' Randy Moss and Lamont Jordan had big games for New England?
