A lot of people wonder why Tim Tebow has captured the imagine of the NFL even though he has yet to throw a pass and likely will not be a starter until 2011.
But it’s not just the league and its fans that are fascinated by Tebow, the No. 25 pick of the Denver Broncos. Madison Avenue is also a fan of Tebow and he just inked a deal with Jockey.
Yes, he’s the world’s next underwear pitch men. A couple of months ago, Tebow said he bypassed a lucrative endorsement opportunity to concentrate on football. Tebow must feel comfortable in Jockeys.
"Tim is a highly gifted athlete with a positive attitude and an admirable character," Jockey chairman and CEO Debra S. Waller said in a statement. "We at Jockey see a very bright future with Tim, and believe that he is an excellent representative for the brand. Tim is genuine, smart and driven and those qualities align well with Jockey. We look forward to building a long and collaborative relationship with him in the coming years."
Expect Tebow to get plenty of ribbing from his new teammates in Denver for his new gig. I bet he may have to carry an extra pair of shoulder pads or two for this one.
