SAN DIEGO -- No practice for Antonio Gates, no problem for Antonio Gates.
San Diego's tight end has been the go-to player for quarterback Philip Rivers' in the first half of its wild-card game against Indianapolis.
Gates just had a beautiful 30-yard catch-and-run play to set up a short touchdown run by LaDainian Tomlinson. Gates has five catches for 57 yards.
Gates missed all week of practice with an ankle injury. The Chargers, though, didn't waste time going to him. He caught a pass on the third play of the game.
Tomlinson, is also performing well with 25 yards on five carries. Tomlinson missed all week with a serious groin injury.
