What to look for: Chiefs vs. Eagles

Five things to look for in Kansas City’s home game against Philadelphia on Friday night. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. ET:

Matt Cassel: The Chiefs’ quarterback had a very strong showing against Tampa Bay. Cassel and the offense is a work in progress. So, if he performs well in what will likely be his final preseason action, Cassel will have plenty of confidence going into the regular season.

The front seven: This is the weak spot of the team. It has not been good this preseason. It has to show something soon.

Brandon Flowers: The third-year cornerback has struggled some in the preseason. He is a nice player and there is no reason to panic. But it would be good to see Flowers have a bounce-back game.

Javier Arenas: The second-round pick has been one of most dynamic returners in the league so far. He had a 99-yard touchdown return nullified by a penalty in the opener and he had a 54-yard return last week. What can he do against the Eagles?

Jeremy Horne: The undrafted rookie free-agent receiver has been a star of camp. He played with the first-team offense against the Buccaneers and he caught a touchdown pass from Cassel. He can further help himself with a strong game against the Eagles.
