Moving on: San Diego Chargers

Here are some areas San Diego needs to focus on after a 41-10 win over Arizona:

Recap: The Chargers bounced back from a sloppy loss in Seattle with a near-perfect game against Arizona. The Chargers are 2-2, but they are dominant. They are ranked No. 1 in the NFL on both offense and defense.

Biggest area to fix: Turnovers. There wasn’t much not to like in the win over Arizona. But the Cardinals scored their one touchdown on a Darren Sproles fumble. It was San Diego’s 10th turnover of the season. San Diego has to continue to work on cleaning up its overall game. The only thing that has stopped this offense is turnovers.

Biggest area to build on: Pass rush: Again, there was a lot to like in this game on both sides of the ball, but the pass rush was terrific. San Diego had nine sacks against Arizona. Linebacker Shaun Phillips had four sacks himself. San Diego has played well on defense all season. If it can pursue the quarterback like this, it will win a lot of games.

What to watch for: The Chargers will try to go over .500 for the first time this season Sunday at Oakland. The Chargers have won 13 straight games over Oakland. However, the Raiders’ physical style of play gave the Chargers trouble last season, especially at Oakland. But if the Chargers cut down turnovers and penalties and continue to improve on special teams, they should win.
