Here are the candidates for this week's "you pick it" feature:
Shakeup in Denver: Broncos owner Pat Bowlen unexpectedly named Brian Xanders general manager and fired father-son team Jim and Jeff Goodman. The Goodmans and Xanders were a three-man committee. Now, Xanders and new Denver coach Josh McDaniels will be the key decision makers. They will both report to Bowlen.
The Chiefs fire five assistants: A week after coach Todd Haley was hired and nearly seven weeks after the end of the season, Kansas City fired five of Herm Edwards' assistants.
Purge in Denver: The Broncos cut seven players, including five players who started for much of 2008 to save more than $25 million in salary-cap room. Cutting defensive tackle Dewayne Robertson saved $16 million alone.
The guidelines are easy. Hit my mailbag and tell me what your story of the week was. I will post some of your responses later in the week.
