The NFL trade deadline passed Tuesday without San Diego trading Vincent Jackson.
In fact, a source close to the situation said there was no movement on a possible trade in the two-day window that Jackson was once again available.
There was a lot of interest in the holdout Pro Bowl receiver last month and his agents struck a deal with Minnesota. But the Vikings and Chargers couldn’t come to an accord on trade compensation.
With Jackson not being traded, the focus now shifts to whether he will report to the Chargers. Last week, ESPN’s Chris Mortensen reported that Jackson will report by Oct. 30 to accrue a season toward free agency. Once Jackson reports he will have to sit out for three weeks because the Chargers put him on the roster exempt list.
