Chiefs make a small deal

In a very slow trade deadline day, the Kansas City Chiefs made a deal. A minor one.

Kansas City sent 2009 third-round pick Alex Magee to Tampa Bay for an undisclosed draft pick. Magee has not been part of Kansas City’s plans this season.

Magee has played in two of Kansas City’s five games and had just two tackles this season.

Magee was considered a good prospect when he was drafted, but he never adjusted to the NFL game. Kansas City feels comfortable with its defensive line and Magee wasn’t going to break the rotation. The Chiefs made the deal to compile another draft pick, which will likely be a low-round pick.
