It is looking more likely that standout rookie tight end Tony Moeaki will not play Sunday against Arizona. He suffered a head injury late in the game against Denver.
He didn’t practice Wednesday or Thursday. With the league being sensitive to head injuries, Moeaki would need to make a very speedy recovery to have a chance to face the Cardinals. Moeaki has been terrific this season, catching 31 passes for 378 yards.
Also, Kansas City safety John McGraw didn’t practice Thursday with head and knee injuries. McGraw was limited Wednesday.
For the second straight day, receiver/returner/running back Dexter McCluster (ankle) and guard Brian Waters (groin) were limited. McCluster has missed the past three games. He has been listed as limited in practice during the entire time he has been injured, so there’s a chance he may sit for the fourth straight game.
It looks like rookie safety Kendrick Lewis may be getting back to the field after an expected time away from the field with a hamstring injury.
