  • Denver coach Josh McDaniels believes new quarterback Kyle Orton may be underrated. It will be up to McDaniels to help make Orton a household NFL name.

  • Denver legendary quarterback John Elway is saddened by the team trading Jay Cutler. Elway had long been supportive of Cutler.

  • The Kansas City Star reasons that the Cutler trade could help the Chiefs secure Wake Forest linebacker Aaron Curry with the No. 3 pick. Now Detroit, which has the top pick and was in the Cutler mix, may take Georgia quarterback Matthew Stafford.

  • The Oakland Tribune examines the reported positive drug test of Boston College defensive tackle B.J. Raji at the NFL combine. Raji is one of the candidates Oakland could take with the No. 7 pick.

  • Oakland running back Darren McFadden has been sued for an incident that occurred before he was drafted. McFadden came into the NFL with some character concerns but, by all accounts, he has been a model citizen since joining the Raiders.
