The National Football Post is reporting that a Denver contingent is working out the Texas A&M pass-rusher in College Station, Texas, Thursday. Denver was at Miller’s pro day workout Wednesday as well as the pro day workouts of defensive tackles Marcell Dareus (Alabama) and Nick Fairley (Auburn) this week.
It’s not a shock that Denver is conducting personal workouts with prospects. Teams do their due diligence. However, Miller’s workout with Denver shows that he could actually be the pick. Previously, Miller was expected to go anywhere between Nos. 5-10.
Denver has a greater need on the defensive line than at linebacker. But Miller is an intriguing prospect. He has produced on the field and he has had a terrific offseason. He ran a 4.49 40-yard dash at his pro day Wednesday. That is silly-fast for a linebacker.
