The expectations are that Javon Walker will be a starting receiver for the Raiders.
My take: The Raiders shouldn't count on Walker or they may get burned. The team has to have other plans and hope youngsters Johnnie Lee Higgins and Darrius Heyward-Bey can play with Chaz Schilens. Walker has been just too injury prone for Oakland to count on him. He has had two surgeries in the past year and three of his past four seasons have been shortened by injury. It would not be prudent for Oakland to go into camp thinking Walker can stay healthy all season.
Here is a look at the few camp battles ahead for the Chargers.
My take: This is another example of how strong this roster is. The team's Super Bowl window is still open but Super Bowl windows don't stay open forever. The Chargers have long had a superior roster. It's time they take advantage of it.
