  • The Oakland Raiders signed former Houston linebacker Morlon Greenwood on Sunday. He will add depth and he could see playing time if there are any injuries. Oakland recently worked out Greenwood and former Tampa Bay star Derrick Brooks. With Greenwood signed, it could mean Oakland will no longer pursue Brooks.

  • Running back Correll Buckhalter joined fellow running back Knowshon Moreno on the injury list. Denver coach Josh McDaniels didn't say when Buckhalter will return. The team signed rookie running back Marcus Thigpen.

  • Injured San Diego draft choices Larry English (linebacker) and Louis Vasquez (guard) may play in the team's second preseason game.
