Denver Broncos: Moving on

Here are some areas the Denver Broncos need to focus on after a 17-13 victory against the visiting New York Jets on Thursday night:

Recap: TebowMania is bubbling over after his most thrilling win yet. The quarterback, once again, came alive late. He engineered a 12-play, 95-yard drive – in which he shined with his legs and his arm – culminating in a 20-yard touchdown run with 58 seconds to go to seal the win. Denver also played terrific defense as it won for the fourth time in Tebow’s five starts. The Broncos are now 5-5 and a half-game out of first place in the AFC West.

Biggest area to fix: Tebow’s accuracy is still an issue, but he could use some help. For the second consecutive game, Tebow was a victim of some drops — meaning that his receivers need to do a bit more than they have been.

Biggest area to build on: The pass rush was strong for the second game in a row. The Broncos had three sacks and seven quarterback hits against the Jets after a four-sack, 12-hit effort in their previous game, Sunday at Kansas City. With Elvis Dumervil healthy, the Dumervil-Von Miller pass-rush combination has been top-notch.

What to watch for: The Broncos can enjoy the rest of the NFL weekend, knowing they did their part. They put pressure on division-leading Oakland, which is 5-4 heading into a game at Minnesota on Sunday. San Diego and Kansas City are 4-5 heading into Week 11 action.
