Say what you wish about Tim Tebow, there is no denying he provided some stunning last-moment heroics in 2011.
He was honored for it this weekend. The Denver quarterback was the named the winner of the GMC Never Say Never Moment of the Year award. The award was voted by the fans as the best moment or play of the year that represents determination and perseverance.
Tebow was given the award for his performance in the Broncos’ 13-10 overtime win against the Chicago Bears in Week 14. Tebow and the Broncos came back from a 10-0 hole with just over two minutes remaining in the game to tie it and send it to overtime when the Broncos won the game.
The Raiders’ emotional win at Houston (which was secured on the final play of the game) the day after owner Al Davis died was also one of the five finalists.
