Oakland coach Tom Cable said No. 7 overall pick Darrius Heyward-Bey was “nervous” Monday night in his NFL debut. Heyward-Bey had no catches and dropped two passes. Heyward-Bey, who battled hand issues in college, received a $23 million guaranteed contract.

The Chargers are in danger of not selling out and creating a local television blackout for Sunday’s game against Baltimore.

Free agent tackle Jon Runyan is continuing to visit teams and he could end up signing with a team soon. Runyan visited the Chiefs last week.
