The agent for tight end Tory Humphrey tweeted that the player has signed with the Oakland Raiders. He has 13 career catches since beginning his career in 2005. He played three seasons in Green Bay where new Oakland general manager Reggie McKenzie was an executive. He was also in New Orleans when new Oakland coach Dennis Allen was there.
The Raiders need help at tight end. However, Humphrey has yet to show he can be a consistent performer.
A woman who accused former Denver Broncos cornerback Perrish Cox of sexual assault has filed a lawsuit seeking unspecified damages against Cox and current Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomas. Cox was acquitted in a criminal case in March. He has since signed with the 49ers.
Kansas City backup center Rob Bruggeman was assaulted in Iowa over the weekend in an unprovoked attack.
