Wrap-up: Giants 27, Chiefs 16

The Chiefs may have made the score respectable in the end, but they were blown out for the second straight week as they are now halfway through their four-week NFC East tour.

The Chiefs simply can’t compete with good team such as the Giants and the Eagles. They are not there yet.

There are too many problems in Kansas City. The issues start on defense. The Chiefs have allowed 112 points. The Giants had 429 yards of offense.

Kansas City just hasn’t adjusted well to its transition to the 3-4 defense.

Offensively, Kansas City is still a work in progress. Quarterback Matt Cassel’s numbers are not good, but he is slowly getting this offense in his control.

The problem is the run game. Larry Johnson is just about done. He had 53 yards rushing on 18 carries and he is averaging less than three yards a carry this season.

Overall, it just seems like Kansas City has a lot of work to do before it can compete in a game.
