Kansas City quarterback Brodie Croyle suffered a separated right shoulder Sunday during the Chiefs' 17-10 loss at New England.
The Chiefs likely won't know a timeline for Croyle until after he is examined Monday.
Croyle was replaced by veteran Damon Huard. The former starter was a surprise backup selection over Tyler Thigpen. Thigpen was running with the second team most of the summer. If Croyle needs to miss significant time, the veteran Huard will likely get the call.
If Croyle has to miss next week's home opener against Oakland, Damon Huard will likely be the starter.
