Ron Jaworski has revisited his NFL quarterback rankings at the midpoint of the season in an Insider piece. Let’s take a look at where he puts AFC West signal-callers:
Peyton Manning, Denver
Comment: A legitimate argument could be made for Manning being No. 1.
Philip Rivers, San Diego
Comment: Rivers didn’t have a great second quarter of the season, so this ranking is fair.
Carson Palmer, Oakland
Comment: Palmer has stayed at No. 22 on Jaws’ list. Some times, he looks like a top-15 quarterback, and others times he really struggles.
Matt Cassel, Kansas City
Comment: It’s difficult to make an argument that Cassel should be ranked higher. He’s in his final days with the Chiefs.
