With second-year quarterback Colin Kaepernick excelling across the bay, it is natural that some are clamoring for the Oakland Raiders to use second-year quarterback Terrelle Pryor down the stretch now that the Raiders are 3-8.
I understand the sentiment. Now may be the time to see what Pryor can do. But Carson Palmer hasn’t been awful and he doesn’t deserve to be replaced. Plus, the Raiders gave up a lot to get him. Palmer is still probably the best option for the Raiders next year.
On the other hand, if Pryor can show something in the final weeks of the season, perhaps the Raiders can unearth a gem. It’s an interesting topic we discuss in this week’s Blogger Blitz and I’m sure it will come up again in the final five weeks of the season.
