The Denver Broncos have a huge game at Baltimore on Sunday. The 10-3 Broncos are currently the No. 2 seed and the 9-4 Ravens are currently the No. 4 seed. Both teams are trying to get to the No. 2 seed and secure a first-round bye in the playoffs.
I think the importance of this game for Denver is more than sending a message to the Ravens. It needs to send a message to New England, which is also 10-3 but has the tiebreaker over Denver because it beat it earlier in the season.
The Broncos and quarterback Peyton Manning haven’t always matched up well against the Patriots, and playing at New England in the postseason is not a fun task. So Denver needs to beat the Ravens to let the Patriots know they have eyes on the No. 2 seed.
