It’s official: Dwayne Bowe's season is over.
It may be time to talk about the standout receiver being a former Kansas City Chief.
The move was expected after Bowe suffered a rib injury last week at Cleveland. The Chiefs promoted offensive linemen Rich Ranglin from the practice squad to take Bowe’s spot.
Bowe is set to be a free agent. Kansas City used the franchise tag on Bowe this year and he held out during the preseason. Kansas City could put the franchise tag on him again, sign him to an extension or let him walk. We won’t know what strategy the team will employ until we know if ownership will keep the current brass. Bowe has been a productive player for Kansas City since being drafted in the first round in 2007. He has 415 career catches and has 59 catches this season.
