Denver Broncos: Moving on

Here are some areas the Denver Broncos need to focus on after a 34-12 home win over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday:

Recap: It was a complete team win for the Broncos as they improved to 12-3. Denver has won 10 straight games and is the hottest team in the NFL. Denver has won every game in the streak by seven points or more. Folks, the Broncos are not getting cheated. This team has a tremendous focus. Denver can earn the No. 2 seed with a win at home over Kansas City next week or a New England loss to Miami. Denver can get the No. 1 seed and home-field advantage throughout the playoffs with a win over the Chiefs and a Houston loss at Indianapolis.

Biggest area to fix: Not much -- perhaps Denver should tighten its run defense. It allowed the Browns 5.1 yards per carry. Kansas City is coming to town after getting 342 yards on the ground against the Colts in Week 16. You know the Chiefs will try to stay hot on the ground.

Biggest area to build on: The pass rush. The Broncos continue to hound the quarterback. Denver had six sacks Sunday and its relentless pass rush sets the tone for a terrific defense.

What to watch for: The Broncos close out the regular season at home against Kansas City. With a first-round bye on the line, I do not see this team losing focus now.
