Manning ties Brady on honor list

Peyton Manning and Tom Brady are connected again.

Manning won his 23rd AFC player of the week award Sunday for his efforts in a 38-3 win over the Chiefs that clinched the No.1 seed throughout the playoffs for Denver. He is now tied with Brady for the most player of the week awards in NFL history.

It was Manning’s second such award since joining the Broncos this year. The Broncos had eight conference player of the week awards this season. It led the NFL.

Meanwhile, Manning ended the season on top of Mike Sando’s MVP Watch. In the real MVP race, Manning will likely be in a tight race with Minnesota running back Adrian Peterson.

CBS Sports reports Denver offensive coordinator Mike McCoy will interview with the Eagles in addition to the Cardinals, Bills and Bears.

The Raiders re-signed six players from their practice squad. They are guard Jason Foster, linebacker Jerrell Harris, defensive back Akwasi Owusu-Ansah, receiver Travionte Session, tight end Mickey Shuler and tackle Jason Slowey.
