Meet Tom Telesco

New gig: Telesco is the new general manager of the San Diego Chargers.

Age: 40

Previous job: Telesco was the Indianapolis Colts vice president of football operations in 2012 and he spent 15 seasons with the organization. Telesco served as director of player personnel (2006-11), director of pro scouting (2004-05), pro scout (2001-03) and area scout (1998-2000) in Indianapolis. He also worked for Buffalo and Carolina.

Playing career: He was a receiver at John Carroll University.

Known for: A smart, organized front-office worker who has a lot of NFL experience.

Reasons to be excited: Telesco helped with the Colts’ quick turnaround this year and he has worked for Bill Polian, who has been one of the past generation's most respected general managers. He has an eye for talent and he knows what it takes to build a team.

Reasons to be worried: There isn’t much to worry about other than the normal concerns when someone is promoted. Can he handle the task? We will see.
