Denver Broncos backup cornerback Tracy Porter (concussion) was its only player who didn’t practice Thursday. The team must disclose its injury report Friday. Barring a change, I expect Porter to be ruled out with everyone else on the roster ready to play.
Denver has to be thrilled with its overall health going into Saturday’s game against Baltimore.
In other AFC West notes:
-- ESPN’s Ed Werder reported that Monte Kiffin is not interested in becoming the Chiefs’ defensive coordinator. Frankly, I don’t think that hurts the Chiefs. He doesn’t run a 3-4 defense and the Chiefs’ personnel is best suited to stick with the 3-4 defense.
-- Denver’s Peyton Manning, Ryan Clady and Von Miller and San Diego safety Eric Weddle all made Pro Football Weekly’s All-Pro team. Minnesota running back Adrian Peterson won its Offensive MVP. Manning and Peterson are expected to be in a close race for the NFL MVP award.
Weddle’s inclusion in the magazine’s All-Pro team is another indication that Weddle was a major snub on the Pro Bowl team. Making it even more questionable is that Weddle was a fifth alternate. Many scouts believe he had a stellar season and his teammates named him their 2012 MVP.
-- In an Insider piece, Steve Muench looks at Denver’s draft needs. There is a big name on the list. I’d be shocked if this player fell far enough to Denver to grab him.
