Chiefs' secondary should shine in 2016

Monday, we looked at several positions where the AFC West was represented in ESPN.com’s attempt at projecting the NFL's best players in 2016. The Insider piece featured some Kansas City Chiefs.

The project continued Tuesday, with the Chiefs again represented. The series sees the Chiefs’ secondary in good shape in three years. At safetyInsider, Eric Berry is ranked No. 3. I can easily see that. Berry was the No. 5 overall pick in the 2010 draft and has been stellar even though he missed virtually all of the 2011 season with a torn anterior cruciate ligament.

At cornerbackInsider, Kansas City’s Brandon Flowers is listed as the ninth-ranked player in 2016. Flowers has been in the league since 2008 and is a scout favorite. He’s already had a great career and our list suggests it will continue.

This project's latest rankings show that the Chiefs are in good shape now and in the future.
