Eli Manning of the 4-6 New York Giants, who have scored the fourth-fewest points in the league; New England's Tom Brady, who this year had his best receivers taken away from him; The New York Jets' Geno Smith, a rookie; San Francisco's Colin Kaepernick, who like Brady hasn't been able to throw to his better receivers; Cleveland's Brandon Weeden, who was benched; and Minnesota's Josh Freeman, who earlier this season was released by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Smih has no excuses like most of the others for having a completion percentage three points below that of the league average. He completed 70 percent of his passes for the 49ers last season, so it's not as if he doesn't have the necessary accuracy.
The Chiefs have dropped some passes on Smith, particularly in recent games. The problem hasn't been as bad as with many other teams. Either way, Kansas City's passing game will continue to flounder until Smith and the Chiefs get him completing somewhere about 65 percent of his passes.
