ALAMEDA, Calif. -- This is a different day for the Oakland Raiders.
They are traveling east for Sunday’s game at the New York Jets. Usually, they’d travel Friday. But the Raiders have lost 13 straight games in the Eastern Time Zone dating back to 2009. Coach Dennis Allen wanted to switch it up a bit, so the Raiders will travel Thursday and practice in New Jersey Friday.
“In my mind, the definition of insanity is keep doing the same thing over and over and expect a different result,” Allen said. “To me, it’s something different. It’s trying something new. We’re trying to find every small little advantage that we can that will give us an opportunity to play well. We’ll see how it goes.”
Thursday is simply a travel day with no media availability.
