League does not fine Vrabel

Kansas City linebacker Mike Vrabel was not fined by the NFL for directing an obscene gesture at the Denver Broncos bench late in a blowout home loss Sunday, according to a league spokesman.

Vrabel directed the gesture at Denver after the Broncos scored on an 18-yard touchdown run by Knowshon Moreno on fourth and short in the fourth quarter of a 44-13 Denver victory.

Vrabel chalked up the incident to frustration after the game. Vrabel was traded to Kansas City, 3-9, from New England in the offseason.

Earlier this season, Tennessee owner Bud Adams was fined $250,000 for directing the same gesture toward Buffalo’s bench from his box. In the past, players have been fined for similar actions.
